Light Grey Comments

One of my favourite tips that I have picked up since working at Realmac has actually come from a web developer: Aron.

I was watching him code in Espresso and I noticed how uncluttered his code looked. On closure inspection it was due to the fact that his comments were all a light grey colour that was making the code “pop” on the page.

After using this for a while I have found that this really allows you to focus on the code unless you are looking for comments.

I certainly won’t be going back to green.

It was becoming clear that I needed something in between my twitter and my (rarely updated) blog to link to articles I find on the net and add some comment as well as quick programming/cocoa tips which are a bit big for twitter and don’t justify a blog post.

Therefore I am unveiling a tumblog here at dannygreg.org where I will post these little snippets of information.

Hopefully you guys find it informative :).
